CBAG Partners with Aviators for Autism to Support a Meaningful Cause
The Connecticut Business Aviation Group (CBAG) is proud to announce a new partnership with Aviators for Autism, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families through aviation-centered experiences.
The collaboration reflects CBAG’s continued commitment not only to advancing business aviation in Connecticut, but also to supporting causes that resonate deeply within the aviation community.
A Mission That Hits Close to Home
Autism impacts millions of families across the country, including many within the business aviation industry. From pilots and maintenance professionals to schedulers, executives, and their families, the mission of Aviators for Autism is one that touches the lives of many throughout the community.
By partnering with Aviators for Autism, CBAG aims to help raise awareness, support families, and contribute to programs that make a meaningful difference.
“This is a cause that resonates across so many within our industry, and to me personally - having one family member on the spectrum and another that has dedicated her career to helping the autism and special needs population” said John Gabriel, President of CBAG. “We’re proud to support an organization that is making a real impact for families, and to help bring the aviation community together around something that truly matters.”
About Aviators for Autism
Founded by CEO Antonio Ferrara of Stratos Jets: The Allied Jet Agency, Aviators for Autism is focused on creating unique aviation experiences for individuals with autism. Through organized events, airport visits, and hands-on exposure to aircraft and aviation environments, the organization helps individuals and families build familiarity and comfort in settings that can often feel overwhelming.
These experiences are especially valuable for families preparing for air travel, offering a safe and supportive environment to navigate the sensory and logistical challenges that can come with flying.
In addition to direct programming, the organization plays an important role in fostering inclusion, understanding, and community within aviation.
Looking Ahead
CBAG looks forward to working closely with Aviators for Autism and exploring opportunities to incorporate the organization into future events and initiatives.
“We’re excited to get involved and find meaningful ways to support their mission through our events and membership,” Gabriel added. “This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term partnership.”
A Shared Commitment
At its core, business aviation is about people—connecting them, supporting them, and creating opportunities.
Through this partnership, CBAG and Aviators for Autism are working together to extend that mission beyond the flight deck and into the community, where it can have a lasting and meaningful impact.
